prevention of the corruption act.

After the amendment in 2018, u/s 8 of THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION ACT, 1988, A person who gives a bribe to a public servant is also liable for the punishment.

So my query is that if a person (A) pretends to be a public servant, which he is not, and the other person (B) considering (A) to be the real Public Servant gives bribe to (A).
Is (B) liable under this section..?
Is there any case law regarding this...?
