Co-op Hsg Society

Deputy chairman has sold of his flat through which he was a member of the housing society. He purchased another flat in the same building and society but didn't apply for new membership nor did he transfer his shares to the new purchaser. Is he still a member of the society and can he still continue as Deputy chairman?

1.  Once a Society Member Sell's off his Flat, THEN has no rights left to continue as the Mg.Committee (MC) member for any post, more so specifically since his MC post was linked to his membership of his old Flat and after selling his old membership has become null & void.

2. The above is applicable even if he buys a new Flat in the Same Society.  Old Chairman has to resign after selling of his own Flat and apply again from new Flat.
