Absent Petition when Magistrate is away on training

hi folks

I recently turned PIP (Party in Person) in my 498A and PWDV cases.

From July 1st, the Magistrate, Presiding Officer of the Court went on training for 3 months. As I had not know this fact, I had sent Absent petitions via Registered Post, as I sent on previous occasions. This time eCourts does talk about my absent petition at all. It just says PO is on training.

Question:
Is it mandatory (for a PIP) to submit Absent petitions u/s 317 CrPC to Court even when the Magistrate has gone on, for trainings?

Does advocates also file Absent petitions for their clients, during absence of the Presiding Officer/Magistrate/Judge?

It could also be that alternate arrangements are made once the officer is on training.
