Definitely, AGM is the most powerful body and can remove any official.  But the principle of natural justice has to be followed, and a show cause notice informing violations and improper working should be specifically followed with an Enquiry Committee and that office bearer should be asked to resign voluntarily, before such dismissal from AGM, which is concerned with his personal reputation.

In which State are you?  If you are in Maharashtra or in the case of most other States a duly elected member of the Managing Committee cannot be removed except for specific reasons, if any, mentioned in the byelaws. Even the registrar cannot remove a single member. He can remove the entire committee under certain circumstances.
