Hello Sir,

In my opinion, the old lady should file a police complaint against her daughter-in-law and it is at the will of the old lady to give a share of her property.

Same law will apply against daughter in law for the protection of women from the domestic violence Act, 2005 as it applies to mother in law if she is indulging in domestic violence. Let the mother make complaint against the daughter in law under the DV Act for getting order against her for throwing out from the property of the old mother in law and protection order for keeping her out from the old lady and not indulge in any kind of domestic violence against her.

Tell her immediately to Lodge a police complaint u/s 323, 504 and 509 of IPC. Then she should also Lodge a case before court under DV act.
But remember one thing, now a day's these kind of daughter in law are always there to Lodge a false FIR u/s 498A of IPC to harass in laws. It has become a trend.

All the best for her. Justice will definitely come :)
