Intimation for giving exam for group a employee.

Hello, I wanted to ask that if a Group A employee of central government wishes to give an exam outside department. Only appearing for the exam, not appearing for any job or interview, then is he supposed to take an NOC from his department or just giving intimation will be enough ? What are CCS rukes for that ?

if that employee wants service benefits of his/her continuing job, s(he) must have applied thru proper channel.

NOC is required only for appearing interview and group discussions only. for Exam - No need for NOC.

if the employee quoted experience, then the experience certificate will be mendatory during Interview and in case - that employee had not informed his/her department while applying for the said position, he will not be issued experience certificate....and also lands into service related issues...

Group A service matters are sensitive. please refer Swami's Handbook and DoPT/UPSC portal.

@Surindermittal - Thankyou sir. This is what I wanted to ask, that for giving just a competetive exam, NOC is not required, only intimation is enough. For appearing for interview for another job, NOC is required.
