Non payment of variable pay

Hi, I joined the current org. as a sales rep, and the company policy states payment of variable pay for a quarter in the next quarter. My KRA/KPI were defined by the org. in Jan, after Q4. Now they refuse to pay my Q4 variable stating I haven't produced results(despite them not giving me my KRA/KPI for that period). Is it legal for my employer to do this?

Key Performance indicators or KPI are metrics used to define and measure progress towards Individual goals or KRA's. Key Performance Indicators are quantifiable measurements, agreed to beforehand, that reflect the critical success factors of an Individual. They differ from Individual to Indvidual. KPI's may also be called as KSI's ( Key Success Indicators). You can argue with your management about your KRA measurements and ask your benefits.
