What is meant by "steps before preliminary hearing" in a title suit ????

my mother & her sisters are defendants of a title suit lodged by our another family member,,, next hearing date is in next month.... hearing purpose is given S.B.P.H. !!! I want to know the term what is S.B.P.H & what will happen in the court on that particular date ?????? I don't have any idea about this !!!!!!!
