Allegations of Rape

Dear All,

One of my friends has been wrongly alleged for Rape u/s 376.  The girl who has put allegations herself admitted the same before me and mentioned that she is doing this out of revenege.

He has got interim bail and next hearing is scheduled on 18 June.

After hearing of interim bail, when I met the girl, she mentioned that she wishes to withdraw her FIR.  The girl wishes to initiate dialogue with us and send mails for the same asking us to call her.  However, our lawyer advised us that we can not communicate with her becoz she may put allegations of threatening against us (as family/friends of Accused).

Please let us know your expert views.  We are totally confused.

Thanks in anticipation !

The facts speak for itself, and such girl should be made to face the consequences of her own action. your lawyer suggestions is right. Just because there is protective laws for female does not mean that they be allowed to blow hot and cold and dragged the man folk to Court just for the sake for personal revenge.Just face the trial.
