Both registered and unregistered WILL are valid.

Will need not necessarily be registered. It can be in a white paper. But it should be Witnessed by two people whose addressed and identity proofs are recorded therein. This is to avoid future complications if Will is contested and authenticity of your signature is contested.

I fully endorse the opinion of learned expert Shri.Sivaramprasad Kappagantu.

The above Replies implicitly say there's no difference between an unregistered and registered Wills.

My opinion is something like this:

A Party who moves a Court of Law with an unregistered will has to pay more Court Fee than the Court Fee to be paid by a Party who moves a Court of Law with a registered Will.

Same court fee for both registered &unregistered will.u have to prove genuiness of will.whether it is registered or unregistered is not necessary .

Advocate Mr. Sashi Dhara reply is correct.
