Query regarding the caste of a child of intercaste marriage

can children's use mother's- BC caste certificate for studying instead of father's- OC. Please help me in this.

Dear querist,

No. If for the purpose of reservation (if applied) the children will have the caste status of father. This is settled principal of law.
