Undue charges

Hi,

I have SBI credit card and has not even used it once. but SBI has put some cholamandalam policy into it and had been levying charges on that. In past i was receiving calls from them then i put a mail to sbi grievance and the calls stopped but again it has started threatning to put a legal case whereas i havn't once used the card. The bank is calling and asking for settlement to pay 12,000.I havnt signed any document or neither accepted for that policy.

Can the bank put a legal case in such circumstance ?

Can the bank ombudsman be of any help?

What should be done insuch a case?

Regards

Could be a mistake but service on the part of bank is grossly negligent - U can send a legal notice and file a case in consumer forum or if you think you will have not time to spend... go straight to the bank meet the manager and get the thing corrected there itself on the spot.  If that dosent work - file a consumer case for quick remedy.

before going to the consumercase route,i suggest a complaint to the banking ombudsman of the concerned area.
