498A Compoundable or non Compondable in AP

I read in one of these forums that 498A is compondable in all states except Andhra Pradesh. Could any one confirm this please.

The reason I am asking this was I was falsely implicated in 498A case, so now the trail started and since 6 months the girls side got summons they are not giving their staments in court and trying to escape by saying some stupid reasons.

Assuming if they withdraw the 498A case or there are chances that court may cancel it saying on the grounds of Juridiction the case will be gone. But I don't want this to happen. I want the case to be completed its trail so that I will get a clear verdict that a false case was filed against me.

The offence of 498-a IPC in Andhra Pradesh is compoundable in nature with  a condition that such matter to be compouded can be compounded only after observation of statutory period of 3 months. It is an opportunity for complainant to reconsider her willingness for compromise.
