Extraordinary leave on loss of pay

Currently I am working as probationary clerk in Canada bank and recently I have been selected in ssc cgl second round and Niacl officer prelims. so to prepare for those I want to apply for extraordinary leave of 2 months. Still I have to complete 3months probationary period. Even after taking permission from concerned authorities will I be terminated after probationary period? I was told like this from somebody? Is it true. Needed clarification regarding this as many in my bank do not know about this.
