Can an unregistered association of persons open a bank acc?

We have created an association of persons (AOPs) who are living in the same society for the welfare of our society. This association of persons is not registered. We don't have any PAN CARD as well. Each month, the members of the society (flat owners) contribute towards the maintenance cost for the society. Out of this, every month some money is saved. We have opened a bank account in the year 2000 for this. We also have fixed deposit in the name of the society. Now the bank is saying that we are not eligible to earn interest on fixed deposits as the AOPs is not registered with no PAN Card. Please guide us if we can contest this or shall we voluntarily close the account.

This is quite helpful discussion for members of the association that provide guidance about opening of account. After learning of writing skills people work as essay paper writer online and earn handsome amounts of money.
