Ipc 379 & 380

Hello Jagdeep, The above mentioned sections of the Indian Penal Code deal with the punishment for the offence of theft. While Section 379 deals with the Punishment of theft where the punishment is imprisonment which may be upto 3 years or fine or both, Section 380 deals with the theft in dwelling houses (a building or tent etc. where a person is living) and lays down the punishment for the same i.e. imprisonment which may be upto 7 years and may also be liable to fine.
