I have purchased a 8 seater OMNI van, I have got the NOC and all the required documents from the seller, but when I visited the local RTO office they told me i need to get an affidavit/oath that the vehicle will be used only for private use etc.
But I was unable to get the format of the affidavit and also they did not tell me the stamp paper value this affidavit needs to be on.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Visit to the website of RTO and find out RTI application format and fees prescribed. File that application with fees and seek simple one sentencce information as follows:
Information solicited:
1)Please provide me the laid down format of AFFIDAVIT that state that the vehicle will be used for personal and private purposes only and inform the value of stamps needed for such affidavit.

A local notary can help you in getting the Affidavit executed.

The format is important and document need not be notarized.
