Petition on evacuation

We have rented our first floor portion to a srilankan passport holder on May 2016 with 11 month rental agreement. The premises located in Thanjavur. Tenant went to srilanka without informing us on June -16 without paying rent. Till now(Till Sep) he didn't paid the rent and he filed a case in court for injection and illegal eviction of premises. Could you please help us the procedure to vacate him. As it is a civil case will the court proceedings take more time.

We have filed the vakalatnama against his allegations on 6th Oct-16 and the injection(stay order) was till 6th Oct-16. Next hearing is on 17th, hope our tenant will file the reply. As we are having the rental agreement for 11 months(pl note already 5 months over) and there is a clause that it will be invalid if he didn't pay the rent on or before 5th of every month. Can we file the petition for the evacuation of him immediately in court or we need to go through police? How much time it will take to evacuate him? Can he go for appeal after the 11 month agreement?
