Property of gift deed can sale to others ?

Hello Lawyersclubindia, My dad gifted a flat as gift deed, now i want sell this property to others than family members. shall i sale this property to others without permission of my dad. pls help on this query. Thanks, Amar, hyderabad

Submit copy of gift deed to authority ( say society/MC etc) under whose jurisdiction property (Flat) falls for updation of ownership in your name.

Once you are recorded as owner you can sell.

Valid/registered Gift deed confrs ownership with immediate effect.

If you have received the questioned property through registered gift deed then the property will be deemed your self acquired property and you have every right to transfer/sale the property to any one and no requirement to seek permission from your family members
