Hi,
I lost my office laptop & mobile phone and also made complaint in the respective police station on 14th june 16. They have given me the CSR copy. In order to claim insurance for laptop, my office mates asking for non-traceable certificate. When I asked abt this in the police station, they said that they are not giving that certificate for laptops. Please help me on this. Do Police will provide non-traceable certificate for laptops or not? How can I get it.?

You have filed the case before the station house officer on 14th June, 2016. it will take time to investigate. so without giving time to the police authorities how can they give you certificate?

to claim insurance you can only tag NCR (received copy of complaint) in documents, further it is not your job to get certificate for lost article, when you have received copy you are entitled for claiming insurance and if insurance company decline to entertain your claim than you can look for consumer forum
