Apartment society's power to cut electricity & water supply

Hello All,

I am new to this forum, I have a question regarding Apartment Co-operative Society's power to cut Electricity & Water supply to maintenance Defaulters.

Our Society is registered under A.P. Society Registration Act 2001. Does the Society has power to cut the electricity and Water Supply(Water Source being Bore and external water tanker) to the maintenance defaulters.

I was told there is a Supreme court judgement on the same. If anyone having the web link for the same please post.

And what is the correct way to deal with Maintenance defaulters apart from suspending membership, disconnecting the Generator Electricity(Used when powercut).

Thanks,

Subrat
