There seems to be nothing that speaks of new iniatives. The correct website address may be posted. Better still, a screen capture of the sheet may be posted along as an attachment.

Still Nothing.

Car-Aeroplanes are in the offing. Solar plane is being tested. E-Commerce, Home delivery of all services etc are realities of the day.

Calamities are: Parents are not spending quality time with their children. Elderly are not getting attention. Nature is not being given its due place & every natural component is being viewed as resource; Every inch of land is becoming one or other brick & mortar.

Everyday travel be minimised across society. Transport need be such that one should be able to travel, but the need to travel should be bare minimum, So, change lifestyle. The Transportation arrangement, plans could be moderated.

- Look forward to the post that is indicated.

Delhi Metro for hefty fare hike

The Delhi Metro Rail Cor poration (DMRC) has sought to double the fares -proposing a minimum ticket of Rs 15 instead of the present Rs 8 and maximum of Rs 70 as compared to the current Rs 30. The last fare revision had taken place way back in 2009.

                              ------------------XXXXXXXXXXXX--------------------

How many can afford this. Can every student, patient spend this much on each travel? There is more to come. Earlier, citizens had number of user friendly, convenient options; were healthy to face all sorts of situations. Now it is not so. They have to depend on one or two sources only. It has trapped the entire society. Many aspects of society has got affected.

THE SCIENCE PLAN, 'GLOBAL VILLAGE' IS DEFINITELY THOUGHT WORTHY. Let everything be available at the doorstep. Let everything be available for one to travel, but let one not be made to travel & travel for job. One spends all the time in travel, all through the life. Let people spend quality time in building good citizens, competent citizens; being good children to their elderly etc. - GVT NEED EVOLVE NEW LIFESTYLE. Let transport be a service by the Gvt. & not a source of getting few people Gvt jobs or as revenue earners to run, sustain Gvt machinery.

DMRC seeks public view on fare hike

TNN | Jun 23, 2016, 10.19 AM IST

New Delhi: If you have something to say about the proposed Metro fare hike, here's your chance to speak out. The committee set up to revise Delhi Metro fares has invited suggestions from people by June 30. The committee's final report will recommend if a hike in tariff is accepted or not.

The fourth fare fixation committee that took charge on June 9 has to submit its report by September 8. Metro fares were last revised in 2009, while its operating expenses have increased considerably. "Suggestions can be sent through email — 4thffc@dmrc.org — or by post addressed to the chairman of the fourth fare fixation committee, Metro Bhawan, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi-110001,"

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, "Metro's minimum fare was revised to Rs 8 from Rs 6, while the maximum fare was revised to Rs 30 from Rs 22 in 2009. " Since then, DMRC's network has increased from 90km to 213km and operating expenses have gone up considerably, but the fares have remained the same," it added.

The notice inviting suggestions from people has been displayed at major interchange stations like Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

Imagine, a patient paying Rs. 100-140 per travel. Cyles were used. Today, even boys/girls have a different attitude to the cycles.

Frankly, deep from my heart, I was happy with the 'Phat Phatis'. With so much of sophistication in simulations & trainers, GPS, secret cameras, buses, fuel etc etc; the "Blue lines", that were owned by the ex-Defence persons & other well meaning, responsible citizens could have been asked to take personal responsibility in writing etc & such "Blue lines" could have been converted into a world class, citizen friendly service.

Today, it is all sorts of problems everywhere. The people have got trapped.

Let collective wisdom prevail. Let service be the criteria. Specifically, let Pay Commission salaries to the staff not be the criteria.

Let it be noted that car-planes, solar powered vehicles (including planes) are the order of the day. Let the investments be to libereate people & not Gvt jobs for some.
