You can provide the end use in your RTI Application, and you have also to inform dept as to whether you want dummy/manufacturing defect pistols or that pistols that can be immediately used .

I do not know whether you have addressed the application to CPIO or not.

AO is not proper, as CPIO is under obligation to send the application himself under intimation to applicant.  Now the time is not to enter arguments with officials, and please send same application to CPIO by Regd post with a fresh IPO and provide your email address.  You can first send RTI Application by e mail and then send hard copy by Regd post.  Invariably write on fresh RTI that one applciation was filed before CPIO dt.....and as per directions of AO dt....fresh application is filed.  (Remember, that when RTI Application is filed with any other dept., of same public authority or some other PA , it is their obligation to send the application to concerned CPIO, within 5 days from receipt of such application as per Sec.6 (3).  AO is not authorised to involve in RTI matters as it is the duty of designated APIO or CPIO) alone.

In addition to RTI, also post the same query in their grievance portal also.

1.You have to file application to CPIO, Asst Commissioner of Customs Chennai 500 001 by regd post with Indian postal order for Rs.10/- fvg.Accounts Officer Asst. Commissioner of customs.  .

2.Wait for 40 days from date of posting then file first Appeal to Addl. Commissioner of Customs, who is Appellate Authority if CPIO fails to provide information.

Never mentions either in application or on envelope and always write designations like CPIO (RTI)  Appellate Authority (RTI) only.

It is not clear with whom you have filed your RTI Application.  Follow the above procedure and you will certainly hear information from them within 30 days.

Immediately file RTI Application through attachment / scan copy to CPIO and send hard copy by post.  Invariably provide your full address and e mail also.
