Case hearing judge promoted

The reply of petitioner was awaited on 19th march but not reply was given so order passed was as below

Reply not filed to the application under Order VII Rule 11 (a).
On request, matter is adjourned to 22.04.2016 for filing reply subject to last
opportunity and subject to payment of cost of Rs.200/- to be paid by
respondent side to the petitioner.

Now lawyer says judge promoted so hearing will not be there on 22nd april and will be postponed . Is that true ? Does such a thing happen ?
Worried

As to avoid any future complication, Reply has to be filed on the date even though judge is not presiding but, in court order the fact comes that reply has been filed.  The cost may be paid on that day or avoid it by saying that it would be paid only in the presence of the presiding judge.
