Quarters allotment

Iam working in a college, the director alloted quarters according to the Vice chancellors orders, now again they changing the preference list of the candidates for allotment of quarters without the orders of VC.

Previously they passed the quarters allotment orders, now they thought of passing new orders to allot a lower type of quarters. Shall i go to court (is it possible), or i have to obey their orders.

Send them a letter first asking them to provide explanation

If the allotment letter has been issued by the College management for a lower grade then entitlement, donot accept/take over and lodge a complaint to that effect.

How does VC come in between the College managment and its employees, is it a University College directly administered by Vice-Chancellor?

Discuss the issue with College management, union and/or a local lawyer for proper analysis, guidance and proceeding.

its a university and VC issued allotment orders, but it has autonomous directors. It is having General council and Executive council. In EC the director is now newly planning to put forward the allotment rules and planning to vacate us to a lower type of quarters which was previously allotted to us.

You have to abide by the rules of the University.
