Lok adhalat

Hi, my father availed a housing loan. For improper repayment now bank moved to lok adhalat. Sent a letter to attend lok adhalat on 5th of dec. Can I attend that instead of my father. I'm ready to pay partial amount within this week and complete whole loan within this month, please advise.
