for the group of employees, the employer is paying the premium for the group mediclaim policy. the same is being deducted from the salary of the employees.
whether the employee get dedcution u/s 80D for the contribution (made directly by the employer) towards premium of the mediclaim policy, though premum is not paid directrly by the employee.
pls. provide the provision of the applicable law in support of your answer.
