plz advice

Dear Law members Recently district court said -- "Neither respondent no. 8 nor any body else appeared on his behalf. It is already 3.45 pm. Further wait of respondent no. 8 is neither justiciable nor justifiable. Therefore, respondent no. 8 is proceeded against exparte." 1. As I am resp. No 8, what does it means " procedded against exparte"??? -- 2. Actually i , & my brother filled a case regarding land compensation. But in lower Court we lose it. Then my brother filled appeal in district Court & they does not include my name in appeal. So my question is that if they won the case, can i also benefit from it. ??? Plz plz plz advice. Thanks in advance.
