Dear Sir,

Can an advocate  act as power of attorneyholder entrusted to him on behalf of a company for purpose of deposing evidence before a court.  Please clarify my doubt.

You can entrust anybody by duly registered power of attorney to depose for your company. But the advocate moral ethics under the Advocate act does not permit so. You can entrus any advocate who is not arguing your this particular case on basis of vakalatnama.
