Writ Petition

A writ petition regarding our property (ULC) has been pending since 2008. Case status says pending and our lawyer says it is reserved for judgment. How long can a writ be reserved for judgment? Its been more than 7 months since being reserved. Can you tell me what is possibly causing this delay to pass the order. Our neighbours filled a writ after us and have received the orders in their favour but we are still beingdelayed in our W.P.
