Respected Sir / Madam,
Please advice on the following issue.
Several malls and cinema theatres in Bangalore and Chennai have started pat-down check and unnecessary frisking their patrons. In several cases there are no cctv camera or any caveat posters like ‘Admission is reserved’ or ‘Trespassers will be prosecuted’ at the location of frisking. Even Mall directory or cinema tickets do not say that such a security check will be performed in advance. I have been to malls in Dubai and Singapore very recently and I don’t see such kind of frisking or even basic security check there. Although, this happens in malls in America; they have procedures, By-laws and separate mall cops who handle things professionally. Here ,some guy without even wearing proper uniform calls himself security-frisks, asks unrelated question and does all sorts of nonsense in the naming of checking. How should a mall visitor deal with this issue ?
Should a patron confirm to such searches, even if they have valid reason to enter like having cinema tickets or store membership?
