I am working in Gov. organization and have LTC facility twice in a block of 4 years (3000 km and Anywhere in India). My husband is working in private organization and he has a facility for LTA (not LTC) which he is getting as a part of his CTC every year. In his case it is nothing like he has to submit any certificate for me that he is not claiming for his family. Irrespective of he has actually travelled or not he will get the pre-fixed amount every year. If he submits the proof then it will be tax free otherwise it will be taxable.
Now since he is getting the facility for his own, I want to claim for myself only from my organization as LTC. Shall I claim this?.. Can anybody from my organization ask the certificate that my spouse is not going to claim for me for this block year? Is the LTC (what I am getting) and LTA what he is getting is same?
