I bought a land which is measured 5000 Sq. ft in 2006 from a person who bought it from other person in 1988, however the legal document shows only 4000 Sq. ft. The 1000 Sq. ft was occupied/under possession by first owner and I am enjoying this land since 2006 as well. This property was divided from acres but somehow they have missed this portion when the documented it. I have checked with local lawyer and he says I can make a settlement to my wife and register under her name because we are enjoying this land for more than 12 years. Is this possible to register under my wife name? Please advise.
