Settlement deed

can  a settlement deed be executed by a co-owner, the property was jointly owned by two brothers, one of the brother executed a settlement deed of his undivided share in the property to the other brother . does the other brother derive absolute right over the property

thank you sir , but on general enquiry it was stated that only a release deed or reliquishment deed can be done in case of co owner giving his share to the other owner and not a settlement deed.pls give input as to this.
