i am posting this message from goa. there are many properties, residential as well as commercial which are held by tenants for a number of years. I am not aware as to what kind of documents were executed then. However, even today the tenants are paying meagre monthly rents of a few hundred rupees whereas if the same premises if given on rent today would cost many thousands or even a few lakhs per month. can u share Supreme court judgments of fixing of fair rent value and is such cases how to increase the rent to a fair value pls.
