I recently purchased an apartment from NRI. The new sale deed is registered and all payments made.
The area in the new sale deed is typed incorrectly as 1125sq ft (super built up) whereas in the old sale deed and khata it is mentioned as 840sq ft (built up).
I will now have to file a rectification sale deed. Issue is that the owner is in USA and cannot come to India again. Can he give a GPA to somebody here (person B) so the rectification deed can be signed and registered by person B.
Can the seller just sign the GPA while in USA and send it here...?
