Whether writ on private bank is maintainable or not

dear sirs,

i like to know whether a writ on private bank/body is maintainable or not under article 226 of constitution of india.

Attachment of any recent supreme court of india judgement on above subject from 2012 to 2014 will be most helpful.

added to my above question,my concern is more on whether writ is maintainable on private bank / body.

one has to prove certain things which are mostly covered in this judgement , a unique judgement wherein two privates players fought to declare one as public authority ( indirectly where writ is applicable )

Writ against private parties is not maintainable. All writs are maintainable against State Government / Central Government / Undertakings / Cooperative Societies under the state.
