I HAVE GIVEN MY APARTMENT FOR TWO YEARS LEASE AND PUT AGREEMENT WITH TENANT. I HAVE PUT ONLY ONE AGREEMENT IN ORIGINAL. NOW THE TENANT IS ASKING THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT AND HE IS GIVING COPY OF AGREEMENT. I WANT TO KNOW TO WHOM THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT SHOULD BE. WHETHER THE PROPERTY OWNER OR TENANT.
OR CAN I PUT TWO ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND GIVE ONE TO TENANT AND ONE WITH ME. PLEASE CLARIFY.

Though always original copy of rent /lease agreement is kept by landlord but to avoid controversy of follow the advice of Mr Raghvan and Mr Kumar Doab.

Its better you retain the original copy and give tenant true copy of the same but however two copy original of same lease deed that cannot be possible
