Picture behind the scenes

Dear learned members,

Can we please discuss :

1. About how much % of marriages in delhi/NCR and other metros are resulting in divorce/separation ?

2.  And among all these divorces, how many face threats of 498a ?

In short whats the trend ? is misuse reached its peak or still at  crusing at 10%  of marriages

Statistical analysis is very important as those who has misused advice other sisters/ cousins to misuse.

I dont see even 10% of DIL staying calmly and peacefully with their MIL.

Joru ka gulam bano tabhi family save hai. else we are bound to enjoy the dance of woman era..( as innocent prisoners)

i think 60 to 70% of divorces either  contested or even mutual face experience of 498a as either threat or full fledged music..

:) im not sure of the current stats..and will not try to beat around the bush, but one thing I can say for sure...Every 2 in 3 divorce cases will have either a DV or 498 attached. It is not only the question of Joru ka gulam..You need to be the gulam of the ladys whims and fancies, your MIL,your FIL (who may not have the courage to speak eye to eye with your MIL..but will have the courage to boss you),then your BIL and SIL and the ladys relatives...after you would have perfected ghe art of gulamgiri...then you need to be the gulam of your own children..they naturally will be inclined to the dominant force...you will only be relegated to the duties of earning for your family....albeit a worker bee.

Thousands of divorcee women posing as sati savitri for second marriage.

And they do same drama in their second marriage too

Is our government sleeping ?

In todays fast computerised age, why they take so much long time to stop mistuse of laws by wives?

When will they listen to us that husbands are humans too? our complaints fall on deaf ears.

Why governement doesnt realise how much big crime it is to force children away from their papa.

For childrens sake they dont feel humanity ?

Lawmakers are the biggest culprits.

we elect them and send them to pariliament and they dont do anything.

why there is no anticipatory bail in UP ? what for ?

lawmakers helping them in extortion racket.

Malana raises her voice and is recogniosed world over. we raise and no body listens to us.

We dont recognition we want improvement in biased laws.

Why dont they amend evidence act by punishing the wife who misuses the law ?

These lawmakers.. Dont they have common sense ?

The govt is not sleeping..they are well aware of the facts...it is the vote bank politics coupled with the fact that the voice raised on these draconian laws are not made in a concerted manner.

If you google there are numerous websites www.498.org,www.mynation.net,saveindia,LCI and host of others, numerous posts in wordpress and independent websites where people who have suffered have vent their voice. Then we have some individuals who have selflessly gone in length to describe about this subject and its abuseThough all these forces are trying their best...but still the voice is not concerted enough to sound in the power corridors.of Delhi.

The supreme court which has gone to the extent of terming the laws as legal extortion but still we men are unable to encash it.

im a 3 month baby in this forum and have seen some distinguished lawyers taking the moral line acting as moral policemen whenever some aggrieved posts his real life experiences and acts as support to an another aggrieved but the same moral line is not taken or policing is not done when some lawyers of these  blatantly and recklessly advise the authors to file 498 cases even though there is no mention of dowry harassment and then you have the same set of lawyers who ask for reconcillation eventhough the husband his family have bore the brunt of arrest and unwanted

We know it all and it goes without saying that filing a false 498 criminal case is so easy that I or as a matter of fact any programmmer with web skills C#,Java or Perl can make a web page ,website called www.filemy498.com and all it would do will file the FIR to the wanted police station. Also it  could be.made more sophisticated by adding plugins to the interpol. It could be made more easier than filng a document via eSeva.I say easier than eSeva as even eSeva requires some sort of authentication.

No authentication required.No proofs required.

A sample form will be like the below.Answers Y/N always defaulted to Y irrespective of what you choose and submitted.

1.have you been harassed for dowry (Y/N)

2.Were you beaten,kicked for more dowry (Y/N)

3.Were you thrown out of the house for more dowry (Y/N)

and host of others depending.Answers always defaulting to yes before submission. This will reach the nearest police station who will be provided more spicier options before they submit to the court.

What more can be said.I think the Bar council of India has also its set of obligations to whom it issues licences.

Well said !

Regarding vote bank

Population of males as victims and as potential victims is much more than those misusing 498a and other similar biased laws.

If we add family members of these victims the population increases even more.

so vote bank politics should be in favour of men.

Does this mean, that most of the men in India themeselves are in favour of women misusing such laws ?

If you do a survey in society and your neighbourhood, 80% of men are against this misuse of law.

Then why still such things are happening ?

Because only Mps are in favour of such biased laws. general public is not in favour of such biased laws.

The answer lies that we are not united in raising our voices.

All (lakhs of such victims) should come together and there should be mass movement and rallies for 1 week together in all cities in India demanding punishment for those who have misused the law in past.
