sir,
is it always required to register the flat rental agreement document .
how does it help in case of future litigations.
i have been renting out my flats for the last 4 years..and never registered it..
we just print it on stamp paper and sign it.

It is not compulsory nor necessary but good if done. The cost should not exceed 6-7k which is shared 50-50 between landlord and tenant. The most important thing is to get Police Verification done. This is the landlord's responsibility.
