sub: Leave during probationary period will affect seniorty for promotion or not?
Me and my friend joined together in a central government undertaking organization(ports in India).
When joined I have intimated by offical that my friend is senior to me based on merit/ranklist.
During the probation period my friend took maternity leave as well as other leave for few months.
Inspite completing my probation early, We both got confirmation letter together when my friend completed
her probation with her extended leave days.
Now there is chance of promotion in our organization please let me know who is going to get priority
for this promotion. As my friend took maternity
& other leave during probation period I assume that I should be senior to her as
I have completed my probation period in time and earlier than her.
Please let me know any rules available to confirm that leave during probationary period will
seniority for promotion.
