Supreme court judgements applicablity in jammu and kashmir

Hello,

I am trying to research on Laws applicable to J&K. However, I just thought that when the Honorable Supreme Court of India passes judgements under Civil Law like for example, Breach of Contract or Specific Performance of Contract under its Appellate Jurisdiction. Would the judgement be applicable to J&K also. Can the same be cited by an Advocate practising in the High Court of J&K., when we all know that the Indian Contract Act or Specific Relief Act does not apply to J&K. Can someone help me with this.

Thank You in anticipation.
