National Seminar on International Tax & Transfer Pricing

Chief Guest: Smt Promila Bhardwaj, DGIT (International Tax)

Venue: 14th June, 2013  Shangri-La, New Delhi

Increased competition, slower growth in their traditional markets and increasing shareholder returns have led multinational corporates to structure their growth plans considering overall reduction of tax costs.  Sandwiched between the home country tax policies and evolving tax policies by developing countries to protect each’ s fair share of the tax revenues, corporates have been grappling with settled concepts which are being put to the severest tests and where newer tax concepts are being put in place. Considering the evolution of various concepts in cross border trade, it is imperative that companies understand the changing environment in the international tax and transfer pricing arena. International tax bodies like the OECD and the UN, have also been actively addressing some of the issues and trying to bring out a consensus approach to the issues involved.

To equip corporate tax professionals with the evolving scenario in international tax and transfer pricing, ASSOCHAM is organizing a National Seminar on International Tax & Transfer Pricing on 14th June 2013 at Shangri-La, New Delhi. Smt Promila Bhardwaj, DGIT (International Tax) has very kindly agreed to Inaugurate the Seminar and sharing her views on the important subject with the participants.
