It is need of hour that India should enact a comprehensive law and scrap the obosolete and old laws. Time is changing and so the laws must change. The question is who will bell the cat? Why will politicians make laws that would curtail their powers?

I am of the view that not the laws but the system itself has to change. Look at the PRA 1951 right up to RER 1960, CER 1961 read with the CrPC, IPC and the relevant provisions of the Constitution in regard to Elections. Everything is there, but they remains in the Statue Books only and humanly impossible to implement. So, the system itself has to be change. Any addition or variation in Laws is not going to work.

Are majority of Government employees are dedicated to their service? If each and every Government employee do their service sincerely, honestly and dedicatedly for the Government then it possiable to implement election laws fimly.
