Pf for consultants

A public limited company has appointed a foreign national as consultant for a period of three years under a consultancy agreement. Such foreign national is under an employment visa. Whether such consultant is eligible for PF, ESI, gratuity?

You need to see the agreement....what is provided in the agreement...

Agreement doesn’t provide for PF or gratuity. It only provides for free accommodation, telephone expenses.

consultant is not employee in normal cases.

 

but some persons employ workers in garb of consultants.

 

what exactly is the case.

Yes, anysuggestion depends upon whether the terms of services are really that of a consultant.
