check bounce case

my mom gave 1000000 check n for 5 years case going for that. its business dealing check for completion of work given. but after completion they put the check in bank. now after 5years they are asking 70lakh. for settlement we asked as my mother got cancer. now threatening me also vl book a case under 420 as business was running under I'm proprietor. but every thing my dad only seeing. for saving me my dad told my mom to give check for 10lakhs. what to do? is this case wins or not. or I vl also come under any case?please help
