Page no : 2

Preetam Thakur (MHA)     11 September 2019

Do you mean that you have written this will on behalf of your father?

Or

Do you mean that you are in possession of a will got made by your father in your favor?

i am the possession of will made in favour of all son only not including daughter...but now daughter is caliming the share...so as per my understanding we need to get it register first to make it legally valid. Please help and clear

Registration of the will is not execution of the will. As you said that you are in UP (and probably) property is also in UP probate of the will is not necessary. But you are saying that your sister is also claiming share in the properties. It means that the will is disputed. Now the best course of action for you is to approch the court and get appropriate order. Registration of the will is not registration of the property in the names of the beneficiaries. It will not solve your problem. Get a good property lawyer.

thanks for the suggestion so registering a will doesn't help in any ways in this scenario going to court with unregistered will is advisible, will this unregistered is legally accepted in the court as strong proof.
