RTI Act

Whether salary of an officer or employee can be reported under RTI Act? Whether this is not protected under the provisions of personal information as per RTI Act?

it could be provided with the consent of the third party.

As per the RTI Act 2005,  even with out the consent of the third party such informations can be revealed,if the PIO

thinks that it is good in the "larger public interest".

Only thing is that onus of proof remains with the PIO that the information provided was of larger public interest.
