Kindly inform whether wife can make complaint u/s 494 in Police or should she file the case in the Court.

The complaint can be filed either in the Police station or before the magistatre.
However teh offence under section 494 IPC is non-cognizable and no arrest without warrants.

Police wont do anything. They will take complaint and wwait for goose. You feed them, they might take action. Even in court magistrate wint issue warrant so easily. What is the matter? Can you explain?
