guarantor chit funds

respected experts,
my father was a chit subscriber in one of the chit fund and he was a govt servant myself and other two people stood as guarantors. my father expired before complete of chit and they hav paid tht amount to chitfund from DCRG of my father and rest 50% amount thy hav collected from one of the guarantor who was also a govt employee as per orders of hon'ble court.
now the guarantor has filed a case against me for tht amount which he has paid to chitfund.
my query is tht even iam also a guarantor of tht chitfund like him how iam liable to pay..pls advice
